- "BladeRunner" - if I had to choose just one film, this'd be it. (Harrison Ford as the realistically vulnerable 'hero'; Rutger Hauer as the lead meanie, who just wants to be loved; & Sean Young as the innocently vulnerable victim/love interest) [Dir. Ridley Scott; based on "Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep?" by Philip K. Dick; Music by Vangelis]
- "Highlander" - I'm sure there's a deep meaning in there somewhere, even though the music's by 'Queen'. (Christopher Lambert doing his strong, dark silent type with the wonderful accent & Sean Connery playing the part of his Spanish mentor in Scotland. Bizarre eh?)
- "Dark Star" - Anarchic Bored Hippies in Space! early John Carpenter romp with Dan O'Bannon
- "Silent Running" - a 'green' save the planet film before it became trendy. with Bruce Dern (Laura's Dad) & cute robots too!
- "Logan's Run" - Michael York, Jenny Agutter & lots of cats
- "2001: A Space Odyssey" & "2010" - I don't care what it all means - it's got 'HAL' & 'Dr. Chandra' in it!
- "Alien" & "Aliens" - Marvellous stuff!! [by Dan O'Bannon by the way; Dirs. Ridley Scott, James Cameron]
- "Repo Man" - great noise & a code to live your life by
- "Farenheit 451" - classic Ray Bradbury sci-fi oppression
- "Rollerball" - classic sci-fi 'fight against the big boys'
- "Terminator" & "Terminator 2" - Arnie at his best [Dir. James Cameron]
- "Dune" - pretty good capture of the image of the books. with Kyle McLachlan
- "Leon" - WoW!!
- "Twelve Monkeys" - mind-twisting time paradoxes
- "Grosse Pointe Blank" - highly amusing with great 80's soundtrack
- "Star Wars", "Empire Strikes Back", "Return of the Jedi" - do I need to say anything about these?
- "Great Expectations" - (Ye Olde Versionne)
- "Wuthering Heights" - (also an Olde Versionne)
- "Raising Arizona" - Nicolas Cage, Holly Hunter
- "Wild At Heart" - Nicolas Cage, Laura Dern
- "Strictly Ballroom" - strut your stuff!!
- "An American Werewolf in London" - good fun 'horror' with Jenny Agutter (& Rik Mayall in early scenes)
- "Blue Velvet" - Kyle McLachlan, Laura Dern
- "Macbeth" - (Roman Polanski version)
- "The Last Seduction" - Linda Fiorentino as a scheming vengeful bitch. Brilliant!
- "The Red Shoes" - (another Olde) Ballet classic
- "Breaking Glass" - Hazel O'Connor & brilliant soundtrack
- "A Fistful Of Dollars", "For A Few Dollars More", - Clint, the quiet man [Dir. Sergio Leonne; Music: Ennio Morricone]
- "The Good, the Bad, & the Ugly" - Clint & a few more words [Dir. Sergio Leonne; Music: Ennio Morricone]
- "Arsenic & Old Lace" - anarchic Cary Grant farce (aren't they all?)
- "Bell, Book & Candle" - early 'Bewitched'
- "I married a Witch" - ditto
- "Carrie" - underdogs revenge!
- "Chariots of Fire" - [Music: Vangelis]
- "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" - that Spielberg chappy
- "Coma" - medical conspiracy tale
- "Crocodile Dundee" - it's the end I like, okay? (and the music)
- "Android" - A quiet little number with Klaus Kinski
- "Edward Scissorhands" - who didn't cry?
- "Fortress" - Chris Lambert again
- "Westworld" & "Futureworld"
- "Gregory's Girl" - it's Clare Grogan does it for me
- "The Omen" - evil child
- "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" - My personal fave Bond film 'cos of the sad ending. with probably the least fave Bond, George Lazenby. I liked him
- "Carry On Screaming" - Ha! Ha! Hee! Hee!
- "Predator" - Arnie in another good role
- "Starman" - one of the 'Bridges' brothers in a lovely tale of alien visitation
- "The Crow" - Brandon Lee doing his bit for family tradition, & dying before the end of the film
- "The Day The Earth Stood Still" - Absolute Classic! (Michael Rennie)
- "The Dead Zone" - Christopher Walken - cool, creepy guy!
- "The Hunt for Red October" - Sean Connery as a lovable Russian submarine captain
- "The Killing Fields"
- "The Quiet Earth"
- "The Scarlet Pimpernel" - "Sink Me!" if it isn't the tale of Aristo. Sir Percy Blakeney
- "The Usual Suspects" - twists, turns. Watch it a few times.
- "Time Bandits" - Funny or what?!!
- "Top Gun" - I feel the need for speed! ('E.R.'s Dr. Greene getting his 'Goose' cooked while Tom Cruise does alot of jaw clenching)
- "Trapeze" - classic Circus rivalry with Burt Lancaster (a real-life Trapeze performer) & Tony Curtis
